John Scalzi - The Last Colony

Last book in the Old Man War trilogy?  Great trilogy although thought it went a little too close to Ender's.  Not exactly a bad thing but a nice surprise at the end.  Although I have to admit this was the best SF series since Ender's so go figure. Scalzi is the best SF writer going.
