Rereading this as adult this series is still an exquisite piece of art. Not only do you read it but the art is absorbed. While frankly the series is beautiful to look at the story is a bit convoluted. To this day sometimes I just simply get lost and just enjoy what was rendered. The unfortunate part of this is that the story will never be completed. Meant to be a sprawling series Shirow as since moved on and no end is expected. Too bad would be nice to know what happens...
