Just my two cents...with Texas A&M going to the SEC and how College Football's national champion could be settled on the field rather then in a computer or poll. Beauty of 4 mega conferences of 16 teams each would be that each of these conferences would have a championship game and then these four teams would meet in a Final Four of sorts.
Bowls could still exist for the other 60 teams and then the have nots (teams not in the mega conferences) could still jump in. Of course you could shove these other teams into two minor major conferences and the winners from those could be slotted into some sort of wild card. Should be interesting of course 15 years ago the WAC tried the mega 16 team thing and it lasted all of 3 years (?). More things change the more they stay the same...
