Ben Mezrich - Rigged

"Three-thirty in the morning, maybe closer to four."

As with any other Mezrich book sometimes you have to suspend your belief and realize that sometimes life is wilder than fiction. As with his book about the MIT BlackJack players, this book follows a similar formula in writing about a young Italian getting involved in the world of oil and the NY Mercantile Market. It reads like a movie something like Wall Street of the 80s. Amazing to think of the money some people make in the world. Dubai sounds like Disney World for adults. Would love to visit someday and fly Emirates Airlines...WOW. Unfortunately the real life star of the book doesn't seem to be all that glamorous. It would also suggest your way of life is often dictated by simply being the right person at the right time.
